Detached barn conversion across courtyard from owners' home in 7 acres of grounds. No smoking. Calm, relaxed setting outside village (church bells ring), surrounded by fields. Spacious lounge/dining room with woodburning fireplace, English tv with Freeview channels, video, dvd. 2 steps down to large kitchen (m/wave, w/machine, d/washer, f/freezer) with door to terrace. Open tread stairs to large dble bedrm (low window) on 1st flr. A few more stairs to 2nd dble bedrm, small (children's) bedrm with bunk beds, bath/shower/wc & shower/wc. Duvets. Travel cot, high chair, stairgates, baby bath. Heating (included). Secluded terrace with garden furniture and bbq leading to large field at side of property. Shared (rarely) tennis court - slightly smaller than standard, equipment provided. Games room with air hockey, full size pool table, table football, darts and table tennis. Utility charge: included. The Pool: 11m x 5m & 1.05m deep. Solar heated, fenced & very occasionally shared with owners. Open May-end Aug (longer period if weather permits) from 10am-7pm. Evening use of the pool can be arranged on request.

Small fishing lake 250m (no permit needed). Château Gontier has a Thursday market & sailing, fishing & pedalos on the river Mayenne - there is also a fantastic cycle route that runs right alongside the river, accessible from the town. An easy drive to Le Mans 24hr circuit and for golfers there are 2 courses within 18k including the highly reputed Anjou Golf & Country Club (English spoken) and altogether there is a choice of 12 courses within an hour's drive.

Good holiday, lovely surroundings, very peaceful. Love the pool, tennis and games room. Weather was very kind to us, and we all enjoyed the sun. Gite very comfortable and had everything we needed. Thank you both for letting us use your lovely gite and amenities. The girls enjoyed the games room and we all enjoyed the pool. We have been lucky with some very warm sunny weather and have visited some lovely places. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here it has been as relaxing as it can be with two small children! The gite has everything we needed. The pool and grounds are wonderful! The kids loved visiting the Animal refuge in Château Gontier and the Thursday market is well worth a visit as is the Antiques market in Angers on a Sunday. Really good stay, a relaxing week with plenty of interesting places to visit. Len & Annabelle were most welcoming and very helpful during a mini crisis.
