Renovated detached cottage within a group of 17thC converted farm buildings(across courtyard from QW4005 Max 5/7+ and owner's holiday property). Quiet rural area surrounded by fields (lovely views). Interior is furnished in light, modern style whilst keeping many original features. Spacious lounge with woodburner, tv (French channels), dvd, fitted kitchen/dining area (m/wave, d/washer, w/machine); archway through to 2nd lounge with tv (English channels), sofa & woodburner. Shower room/wc. 1st floor has bath/shower/wc and 2 bedrms - 1 dble, 1 tple (dble & sgle bed). Duvets. Towel hire 5 euros per person. Travel cot, high chair, stairgate. Heating (included). Garden with furniture & bbq. Shared items include courtyard, sloping garden, swings, boules pitch, 6 adults' & 4 children's bikes and barn/games room (pool table, children's pool table, dart board, table tennis, table football). Dogs but not cats accepted. No smoking. Compulsory cleaning charge. Utility charge: included. The Pool: 40m from property, 8m x 4m and up to 1.5m deep, heated and fenced. Open May-Sept, weather permitting. Shared with the other properties.

Shops, restaurant & Tuesday market in Beaumont sur Sarthe (4k). As well as being a busy modern city famous for its 24hr race each June, Le Mans is only 15 minutes away and has a lovely old quarter which is well worth a visit.

Last year we had a fabulous time in Le Grenier (QW4005) & this year we had the pleasure of La Fermette oozing French charm. This is the 1st time we have ever returned to a holiday destination & have not been disappointed! We took advantage of the fabulous location, visiting many sights in the surrounding area - Le Mans was amazing! The kids enjoyed the care free location of the site taking full advantage of the pool, barn games, bikes and walks. Rosemary adds oodles of charm to the holiday. We will be back! A thoroughly charming place for a family holiday & within easy reach from Le Mans, nestled in the heart of the Val-de-Loire countryside. This gorgeous setting is made perfect by the accommodation at Le Grand Villette and our lodgings La Fermette. Rosemary looked after us very well and there are lots of chances to relax and to enjoy yourself in the pool, games barn or on the petanque court, great cycling too. For many years we have enjoyed wonderful holidays in Brittany Ferries properties but this gite has exceeded all our expectations! Le Grand Villette & its charming owner Rosemary have captivated us with all its delights. The gite is so well equipped with all the ingredients for a happy & relaxed holiday. The children have loved the pool, the videos & all the attractions of the barn. Rosemary has advised us knowledgeably about local attractions & provided us with freshly laid eggs! A wonderful relaxing week & the gite is excellent and Rosemary and family very helpful. The kids loved the pool and games room. All in all just what we needed.
