Description of Accommodation
For a seaside holiday it's hard to beat the Vendée with its wonderful sandy beaches and plenty of outdoor activities. There are coastal walks, cycle paths, excellent golf courses and in July & August children's beach clubs. Les Sables d'Olonne has most kinds of watersports as well as a popular zoo.
This friendly residence has 100 recently built houses designed in an attractive local style. 5k from the beach, the complex is divided into 7 areas and is traffic-free, making it a quiet, relaxing place to stay (reserved parking nearby, luggage trolleys at reception). Facilities include a heated outdoor pool (24m x 9m and 0.9m-1.5m deep, open mid May to mid Sept, and paddling pool), free tennis court and a multi-sports ground. Children's club Mon-Fri 7/7-25/8 (charge payable). Jacuzzi (afternoons), sauna and steam room (charge payable, 1 free session per house). Wi-Fi at reception around 7 euros per day or 20 euros per week.
Max: 4 - Single storey house has living room with tv, double sofa bed and kitchen area with dishwasher, microwave + 2 ring hob. Bedroom with double or king size bed. Bath/shower/wc. French windows to small terrace with garden furniture. A number of these houses are accessible for wheelchairs, on request.
Max: 6 - Two storey house has living room with tv, double sofa bed and kitchen area with dishwasher, microwave + hob. 1st floor has bath/shower/wc and 2 bedrooms with either double, king size or 2 single beds. French windows to small terrace with garden furniture.
Max: 8 - As Max 6, above, except there is an extra 1st floor bedroom with double, king size or 2 single beds and one bedroom has an en suite shower (no door).
