Description of Le Pélican, Vernantes
Vernantes is surrounded by forests ideal for walking and is only 19k from lovely Saumur, renowned for its beautiful château & production of delicious sparkling wines. The very pleasant Le Pélican is alongside the road in the village centre, opposite 2 churches and has friendly staff and comfortable rooms. As well as a dining room where good traditional menus are available, there is also a highly recommended gastronomic restaurant where the quality of food and the extensive wine list are difficult to beat.
