Description of La Marine de Loire, Montsoreau
Beautiful Montsoreau lies on the banks of the Loire south east of Saumur and is one of the 'Plus Beaux Villages de France'. Tightly grouped pale stone houses line the interwoven narrow streets behind the 15thC château and vineyards cover the surrounding hillsides dotted with old windmills. The gorgeous La Marine de Loire, with its 11 individually styled bedrooms overlooking the river or garden (3 in a separately accessed building at the rear) is in the village centre and has a lovely garden, a small shop which sells furnishings and household goods, a comfortable bar lounge, free Wi-Fi and a conservatory breakfast room. A small spa pool, steam room and massages completes the picture (charges apply). There is no restaurant but a daily set meal is available upon request or alternatively there are a couple of good eating places nearby.

Ferry prices for holiday clients are greatly reduced therefore if you travel abroad for 7 nights or longer a minimum of 3 nights holiday accommodation for all members of the party must be booked.
