Description of Accommodation
Midway between the larger resorts of St Jean de Monts and Les Sables d'Olonne, St Gilles is a friendly, relaxed little town with a lovely beach and a fishing harbour. The pedestrianised town centre is lively in summer with plenty of bars, crêperies and restaurants - and if you're here on 14 July there are festivities ending with fireworks on the beach.
Just outside St Gilles Croix de Vie in a recently built residential area close to the beach, the 3-storey Résidence la Grande Plage has 57 apartments plus 25 villas. Apartments are well equipped and furnished in an attractive modern style. On site facilities include a heated outdoor pool (13m x 6m, 0.95-1.55m deep, open April- Sept) & paddling pool plus free Wi-Fi at reception. There is also a dining room serving continental breakfast, and a jacuzzi, sauna & massages (charge payable). 1 small pet on lead accepted per apartment.
Max: 2/4 - Apartment has living room with double sofa bed and kitchen area (2-ring hob, microwave + dishwasher). Bedroom with 2 adjoining single beds. Bath/shower room. Wc. Balcony or terrace with garden furniture.
