Your accommodation will generally be ready for you to arrive between 4pm and 6pm and you are requested to leave by 10am. Please bear this in mind when booking your ferry crossings.
Description of Accommodation
Sopeña, a traditional village in the heart of the Cabuérniga valley, is home to Casa Serna Maria, an attractive house with large enclosed grounds. This area is one of the region's most unspoilt and is where you will find Cantabria's oldest village - Bárcena Mayor - as well as some of the best eating places off the beaten track. Comfortably furnished in the local style, the house is very spacious for 6 people and has a galleried upper level landing (open to the living room below) so children should take care.
Living room has large fitted kitchen/dining area (f/freezer, m/wave, d/washer & w/machine), fireplace with insert, tv and stairs to upper floor. 3 first floor bedrms - 2 twins, 1 with en suite bath/shower/wc, and 1 dble. 2nd sitting room/diner with piano. Bath/shower/wc. C/heating. Large, glass enclosed terrace, and garden with fruit trees, furniture & bbq.
There is a £20 supplement per night for stays between 28 and 31 March.

We have done lots of sightseeing - all the seaside towns from Ribadesella to Santona which are all worth a visit. We have also enjoyed exploring all the little villages and old towns. Casa Sernia Maria is located in the idyllic village of Sopena in a valley north of Cabezon de la Sal: It's a beautiful traditionally furnished well kept house typical of the village. The casa has one double & two twin bedrooms & even if fully occupied it would not feel cramped. There is private parking for at least two cars. It's within walking distance of a local bar/restaurant which serves a good value menu del dia (menu of the day): Slightly futher away (but still walkable) is a small supermarket.
