Description of Hotel Las Rocas, Castro Urdiales
Castro Urdiales is one of Cantabria’s prettiest fishing ports and people come from far and wide to sample its excellent waterfront restaurants, relax on the beach and admire the church and 13thC castle that overlook the harbour. And the ideal place to stay to enjoy it all is the Las Rocas. Close to the beach and town centre it has a warm ambience and friendly staff, and the comfortable bedrooms all have free Wi-Fi, complimentary soft drinks and tea and coffee making facilities. Some also have a sea view. The restaurant specialises in fresh fish whilst snacks and tapas are available in the bar, and each morning guests may indulge in a generous buffet breakfast - all in all a great location and hotel.

Prices in black are per person based on two sharing. They include B&B and return ferry crossings on selected sailings to Spain, for a standard car, 2 people and a 4 berth inside cabin with en suite facilities each way.

Ferry prices for holiday clients are greatly reduced therefore if you travel abroad for 7 nights or longer a minimum of 3 nights holiday accommodation for all members of the party must be booked.

We stayed at Las Rocas for 7 days and it was overall a very enjoyable experience. Very close to the seafront/promenade. Lovely walk along the promenade into the town which had good restaurants, café bars and lots of history. Good bus service to Bilbao where we visited the Guggenheim museum. Mr Barnett, May 2013

The Hotel Las Rocas exceeded our expectations. It was in a perfect location, quiet, yet within a short stroll of the town. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was great, it was very comfortable and modern. The restaurant was very good with a delicious breakfast buffet. We would highly recommend this hotel and would certainly stay there again. Hotal Las Rocas is spacious, modern and clean, very close to the beach and reasonably close to the town of Castro Urdiales. It is an excellent base for touring the area. Las Rocas has everything one could want in a four star hotel. Rooms well appointed, airy and cleaned daily. Restaurant and cafe excellent. Continental and full English breakfast superb. Dinner bordering on Cordon Bleu. Situated less than a 50 yard walk from a daily manicured beach. Town boasts many tapas bars. Parking in the town is cheap and just about anything that one buys is 20% cheaper than home, and better quality, particularly cakes and pastries. Will return as soon as we can.
