Description of Accommodation
Once just a fishing village, Noja has greatly expanded over recent years and today is one of Cantabria's most popular summer seaside resorts, not only with visitors but also with the Spanish themselves, many of whom own holiday homes and stay here in July and August and at weekends. The main attraction is undoubtedly the long golden beach, but there is also a good sports complex, tennis courts, 9 hole golf course and municipal gardens with a children's play area close by.
The family run Marítimo Ris Hotel & Apartments is an ultra modern building opposite the beach and a stone's throw from the centre where you'll find plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. The 44 apartments all have air conditioning and have been stylishly designed using contemporary materials and high quality furnishings. The facilities, which are shared with the hotel guests, include a fantastic spa pool and relaxation area with sauna, jacuzzi & gym (adults only), a tv lounge, large breakfast room, small outdoor pool for summer use (15m x 7m and 1.6m deep - open mid June-mid Sept, subject to weather) and lots of garage space. There is also free Wi-Fi at reception and internet access in the apartments.
Max: 2/4 - On 1st or 2nd floor with balcony and pool view (sea view supplement 25 euros per night). Living area with tv, hi-fi & double sofa bed plus well equipped kitchenette - 2 ring hob & microwave/grill, dishwasher, f/freezer & washing machine.
