Description of Accommodation
Beach lovers will be in their element here with miles of golden sand along this part of the Cantabrian coast. As well as lovely beaches there are plenty of other things to see and do without having to drive too far - visit the beautiful town and beach at Laredo, cosmopolitan Santander with its lively centre and tree-lined boulevards, the pretty medieval village of Santillana or the fantastic Cabárceno wildlife park. And closeby, just across the inlet, is the pretty little resort of Isla Playa where you can eat freshly caught lobster at the local hotel, or just admire the view with a drink in hand on the terrace!
The 1000-pitch Playa Joyel campsite at the far end of Noja is very popular with the British with its direct access to the beautiful sandy beach and plenty to keep all ages occupied including a rooftop terrace bar and a restaurant. Only suitable for couples and families.
Max: 3/5 - Compact wooden chalets have kitchenette (2-ring hob & microwave - no oven) in dining area with tv which leads out onto a terrace with patio furniture. Triple (single + bunk beds) and double bedrooms. Shower/wc. Storage space is limited.

Customer Review
We were fortunate in booking a "wooden" chalet, as these are on the edge of the site. Ours was even raised above the main site by a small flight of steps. The main camping/caravanning part of the site was rather too "cheek by jowl" for my taste, as were the more normal chalets. The site itself, and its setting, was fully up to expectation and there were a few family restaurants in the town offering wonderful food at great prices on the Menu del Dia and Menu del Noche.
