Description of Accommodation

Soto Iruz is one of many small villages found in the Toranzo valley, most of which still maintain the traditional farming methods found throughout northern Spain. Surrounded by lush green fields with houses scattered here & there, this is a charming 2 storey holiday home (2nd floor attic room not used), semi-detached to the friendly owner's house & a short distance from a small river & old water mill. The views are outstanding and it is a delightful location from which to explore the lovely surroundings.

Well maintained accommodation features spacious fitted kitchen/diner with f/freezer & m/wave. Lounge with satellite home cinema tv/dvd & small library. Computer & Wi-Fi. Bath/shower/wc with w/machine. 1st floor has 4 dble bedrms - 1 with a verandah overlooking the river - a 2nd bath/shower/wc and a small balcony. Cot < 2yrs. C/heating. Large enclosed garden with furniture & bbq.

There is a £8 supplement per night for stays between 28 and 31 March.

Casa Victor is a lovely place to spend time in a quiet location, with only the sound of the stream to be heard at night. The house itself is spacious and very well-equipped, and the welcome from the hosts could not be warmer. Victor actively strives to make his guests feel welcome and made every effort not only to tell, but also show us the locality and local amenities. There are lovely beaches and Santander only 30 minutes drive away which are easy to access. Other local attractions include the caves at Puente Viesgo (make sure you see both caves), and the pleasant walking/cycle route which extends along the valley in both directions. Local restaurants serve good value tasty Spanish food. The chocolate with 'churros' (a thick hot chocolate drink served with hot Spanish doughnuts) are not to be missed!
