Description of Accommodation
A favourite with the Spanish, Comillas is an attractive town and popular seaside resort with a small fishing harbour, cobbled streets, pretty squares and Gaudi's famous El Caprichio (the whim) - a highly decorated mansion house built as a wealthy man's summer house. There is also a good selection of places to eat which serve only the very best of locally caught seafood, and Comillas also has one of the best beaches around - over recent years the town has expanded to cope with the visitors it attracts in the summer months.
The Rovacias apartment complex overlooks the town below (1k) and is 500m from the beach. There are 300 apartments split between ten, 3 storey buildings with lifts, and in the centre is an outdoor pool (24m x 12m and 1.10m-1.80m deep - open mid June to mid Sept, subject to weather), children's pool (3m x 5m and 60cm deep) and a tennis court. Or, if you prefer quieter surroundings, there is an additional residence 800m further along the road opposite the 9 hole golf course - see ZC0015.

Customer Review
Comfortable modern spacious accommodation. Late season brought a peaceful atmosphere, we regularly had the lovely huge pool to ourselves, and played tennis whenever we wanted to. We enjoyed the short walk to the village centre almost daily, and the stroll down to the beach. Our teenagers took surf lessons at the nearby Oyambre beach, very good value.
