Description of Hotel Chiqui, Santander
At the end of the lovely seafront promenade and just across the road from the Sardinero beach, this popular hotel is in a perfect spot, particularly for those who like a morning swim or run. The well equipped bedrooms have a sea view and there is a cafeteria as well as a restaurant, plus an outdoor terrace where you can sit back, relax and people watch whilst sipping a cool drink. Just down the road there are bars and restaurants, and buses run into the bustling city centre (about 10 mins) for those who like a change of scene. Garage parking approx. 8 euros/night. The ferry terminal is a taxi ride away (7-11 euros plus luggage charge) or you can catch a bus outside the post office 200m from the terminal for approximately 1.2 euros per person.

What's included in the price?
Prices in black are per person based on two sharing. They include B&B and return ferry crossings on selected sailings to Spain, for a standard car, 2 people and a 4 berth inside cabin with en suite facilities each way.

Ferry prices for holiday clients are greatly reduced therefore if you travel abroad for 7 nights or longer a minimum of 3 nights holiday accommodation for all members of the party must be booked.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We chose it because of its beautiful sea views, its balconies and its position away from the main strip. It does have a lot of function rooms and is always very busy but we have never found it overly noisy as the function rooms are quite separate. There always seems to be a parade of expensive ferrari's and porsche's in and out of the car park, which is a bit of light entertainment if you like fast cars. It is a typical seaside hotel and a tiny bit in need of some maintenance here and there (i'm sure there were fridges in the room last year but were missing this time ), but overall is a lovely place to spend a few days. The accommodation was very good in a wonderful location overlooking the beach. The cafeteria was lovely for snacks or a drink, and the restaurant food was beautiful. Only have the veal cutlet if hungry as it is huge. Lovely staff throughout. The Mulleys, May 2013

Excellent location with lovely sea view from our balcony. It was convenient for the local bus into the town centre and other attractions. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet at night (stayed 3 nights). We ate in the cafeteria on the first night and were disappointed so ate out after that. Breakfast was fine except on the last day when it was very crowded as half the room was closed off. Free parking in front of hotel though space is limited. Mr & Mrs Jackson, September 2012

The hotel is very well placed virtually on the beach of a beautiful curved bay and the dining room overlooks the sea. Rooms to the rear all have balconies that overlook the harbour and the town bounded by mountains. The service at this attractive hotel is excellent, the staff friendly and helpful, and the food of good quality. This is our 4th viist and we hope not the last Mr & Mrs Barker, June 2012
