Description of Hotel Real, Santander
This classic opulent hotel with 75 years of history is in a prime position overlooking the bay of Santander, 3.5k from the ferry terminal. Its high-ceilinged, lavishly furnished rooms and lounges echo a golden age of travel and you can expect service to match. Gardens and patios let you relax and soak up the views, the elegant restaurant serves regional and international cuisine, and the lovely breakfast room opens out onto a terrace for al fresco dining. There is also a water therapy spa and treatment centre (charge payable), and free Wi-Fi is available. Taxis are available from the terminal and cost 7-11 euros plus a small charge for luggage or, alternatively, you can catch a bus from outside the post office (200m) which costs approximately 1.2 euros per person.

What's included in the price?
Prices in black are per person based on two sharing. They include B&B and return ferry crossings on selected sailings to Spain, for a standard car, 2 people and a 4 berth inside cabin with en suite facilities each way.

Ferry prices for holiday clients are greatly reduced therefore if you travel abroad for 7 nights or longer a minimum of 3 nights holiday accommodation for all members of the party must be booked.

We decided to stay at this hotel during our recent trip for 5 nights in October 2012.
