Description of Hotel Santemar, Santander
The Santemar is a large, well positioned hotel with spacious, air conditioned bedrooms, a good restaurant, cafeteria, small newsagents/gift shop, free Wi-Fi and even a discotheque! You are just along the street from the casino and a short jaunt from the Sardinero beach - for a comfortable base in the centre of Santander, this hotel is hard to beat. Garage parking approx. 18 euros/night or free street parking. Taxis are available from the terminal (3.5k) and cost 7-11 euros plus a small charge for luggage or, alternatively, you can catch a bus from outside the post office (200m) which costs approximately 1.2 euros per person.

Prices in black are per person based on two sharing. They include B&B and return ferry crossings on selected sailings to Spain, for a standard car, 2 people and a 4 berth inside cabin with en suite facilities each way.

Ferry prices for holiday clients are greatly reduced therefore if you travel abroad for 7 nights or longer a minimum of 3 nights holiday accommodation for all members of the party must be booked.

Hotel Santemar offers Spanish hospitality at its best. The rooms are 4 star although avoid rooms with interconnecting doors as noise level is too high. Breakfast buffet is fantastically varied. The cafeteria / bar is basic but good fun and value for money. Mr Van Dierendonck, February 2013
I found this a great hotel, close to the beach. Despite it being a 4-star hotel it was cheaper to take meals in the hotel than to use local restaurants. The safe in the room and the close proximity to the beach meant that I could have a great time in the surf without having to worry about my belongings. Mr Goddard, September 2012
