Arriving at your property
Your accommodation will generally be ready for you to arrive between 4pm and 6pm and you are requested to leave by 10am. Please bear this in mind when booking your ferry crossings.
Description of Accommodation
Sitting between lovely medieval Santillana del Mar and the coast is Oreña, one of Cantabria's many traditional farming communities where some of the locals continue to stable their livestock in buildings adjoining their homes and prefer to use the older methods of farming as opposed to more modern ones. Casa Laura is a charming, single storey house on the outskirts and is in well kept grounds complete with outdoor pool. Other houses are scattered around and a wealth of lovely beaches are within easy access.
Nicely furnished accommodation features living room with woodburner & tv; well equipped fitted kitchen with m/wave, f/freezer, d/washer & w/machine; bath/shower/wc & 3 bedrms - dble, twin & room with sgle bed with pull-out sgle beneath. C/heating. Large enclosed grounds with terrace, garden furniture & bbq. Private Pool: 7m x 3m and 1.2m-1.9m deep. Fenced and unheated, it is exclusive to the property. Open Apr-Oct, subject to weather.

A beautiful, large accommodation with everything allowed for. Think more should be said about the sun lounge which runs the length of the house with the BBQ directly outside. The casa is well located in the village or Orena. There are a couple of small bars within 5 minutes walk but any shops are driving distance only. There are a couple of very picturesque towns within 10 minutes drive and beaches are 5-10 mins away. The villa itself is very secluded, has plenty of parking, 3 decent size bedrooms but only one bathroom. The pool is great and is completely private. The villa is well equipped (other than internet access!) and is more like a family home than a holiday rental. We will probably return and I would happily recommend this property to anyone else. One place we would recommend is the restaurant in Novales called La Ceña run by a very friendly man named Edwardo and his very welcoming family.
