Description of Posada Santa Ana, Suances - Cortiguera
In a residential area just south of Suances (3k), the Posada Santa Ana is a traditional looking, family-run hotel with a stylishly modern interior that has retained many original features to give it character. Spacious rooms, a fine restaurant with menus featuring freshly caught local fish and a lovely bar terrace all add to its charm and the nicely kept grounds include an outdoor pool and bbqs in summer. The pretty fishing port of Suances has 2 sandy beaches, and the beautiful medieval village of Santillana is just a short drive to the west.

Prices in black are per person based on two sharing. They include B&B and return ferry crossings on selected sailings to Spain, for a standard car, 2 people and a 4 berth inside cabin with en suite facilities each way.

Ferry prices for holiday clients are greatly reduced therefore if you travel abroad for 7 nights or longer a minimum of 3 nights holiday accommodation for all members of the party must be booked.

Small friendly authentic Spanish hotel. Moderate size, crystal clear pool was never crowded and entertained children while we could get coffee or drinks from bar/reception all day. Evening meal was extremely good value for money with a quality 3 course meal including bread, wine and water for £15 a person (children's menu available) so there was little incentive to go out however Suances was a very short drive away if you wanted to. Breakfast was equally delicious. Despite having a proper restaurant feel (linen, glasses, waiters etc) the service was relaxed, friendly and child-friendly. Local beaches 15mins drive varied from safe and shallow to moderate sized waves and rock pools for older children/adults. No air con and some noise in rooms but overall we slept well and had a really enjoyable stay. Would recommend strongly. The Metcalf Family, August 2012
