Description of Accommodation

The pretty tourist town of Baiona close to the Portuguese border has no less than 6 beaches and a lovely old town where the cobbled lanes are lined with lively tapas bars, cafés and bistros. You can take a walk around the town walls from where there are fantastic views over the bay and imposing Monterreal fortress which is now an elegant Parador, or visit a floating replica of Columbus' ship the Pinta which is moored in the harbour and has been turned into a floating museum.

The Apartamentos le Sept is a small complex in a lovely hilltop setting in Belesar, a rural community 5k from Baiona. The owner has totally rebuilt his grandfather's old manor house and succeeded in creating 7 modern, stylishly designed holiday apartments which have been furnished and finished using only the best quality materials. The accommodation is in the main building, (except for 1 apartment which is on its own next door), along with reception and a communal sitting area with kitchenette. There is also a separate 'txoko' - with a large dining room and kitchen used by large family groups or for celebrations. The gated complex is completely private, and has spacious, well kept grounds with a superb outdoor pool (13m x 4m and 1.2m deep - open all year, subject to weather) and surrounding sunbathing area - the views from here over the bay of Baiona are fantastic, particularly at sunrise and sunset. Free Wi-Fi. Breakfast included. Apartments cleaned and towels changed daily/bed linen every 3 days.

Max: 2/4 - Three duplex apartments on the 2nd floor have balcony and/or terrace. Living room with tv, a double sofa bed or bunks and a wardrobe style kitchen housing a sink, fridge, 2 ring hob & microwave/grill. Shower/wc. Stairs up to double bedroom with tv and a shower/wc - separated from room in part by a glass panel.

Max: 3/5 - An independent open plan, split level apartment with private terrace and patio furniture. Living room with tv and a wardrobe style kitchen housing a sink, fridge, 2 ring hob & microwave/grill. A few steps down to a single bed and bunks plus shower/wc, and a few steps up to a double bed & tv.

Le Sept apartments offer outstanding and unique holiday accommodation. The apartments have an exciting, modern, elegant and innovative design within an historic building and are fitted with the latest technology to control the room environment. The location on a hill in Belesar gives extensive views from the rooms and pool over the coast and islands in one direction and the mountains in the other. The genuine friendliness and helpfulness of Martin and Edna, who manage the accommodation, and also the owners greatly added to our holiday.
