Description of Hotel Silken Amara Plaza, San Sebastian
Surrounded by low green hills the beautiful seaside resort of San Sebastian sits around the half moon bay of La Concha. As well as beautiful beaches, this popular destination has much to offer including a lively old town crammed with a diversity of bars, cafés and restaurants as well as lots of small craft shops selling typical Basque leatherwork and basketry. It also boasts many fine buildings and monuments, a naval museum, aquarium, huge fish market and summer boat trips to the nearby island of Santa Clara. Easily reached from the motorway, the Silken Amara Plaza is just a pleasant half hour walk along the river from some of the most important attractions and the old quarter, as well as being easily reached from the main roads in. Its décor reflects the works of renowned Spanish artists and the overall atmosphere is one of elegance and style. Bedrooms are comfortable and sound-proofed, there is a very good restaurant that serves both Basque and international cuisine, and you can enjoy an aperitif in the piano bar whilst trying some of the creative and tasty Pintxos - local tapas type snacks.

Prices in black are per person based on two sharing. They include B&B and return ferry crossings on selected sailings to Spain, for a standard car, 2 people and a 4 berth inside cabin with en suite facilities each way.

Ferry prices for holiday clients are greatly reduced therefore if you travel abroad for 7 nights or longer a minimum of 3 nights holiday accommodation for all members of the party must be booked.

Pleasantly located next to river and bus station, about 30 mins walk from the main shops, attractions and beaches, the Silken Amara Plaza's very helpful staff will do their best to ensure you have all you need for an enjoyable stay. The range of food on offer at breakfast is vast and the hotel restaurant is good value. The attentive bar staff and serving staff unobtrusively attend at just the right times. Modern hotel with very good facilities. Underground car parking with direct access to the hotel. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Located 15-20 mins walk from the beaches and old town, but a pleasant walk along the river. Bus station is just behind the hotel if you don't want to walk. Also taxi rank there as well.
