Starting from Buzet, you are at a junction of waterways so you will be spoilt for choice on which route to take. For a 1 week holiday you might wish to head south along the rivers Garonne and Baïse as far as Valence and back, or you could go via Agen and Moissac to Montech, or head east via Agen, Clairac and Villeneuve to Penne d'Agenais before returning to Buzet. A suggested route for a 2 week cruise is to head for Montech, then Valence before the return trip to Buzet.

A large circuit of rivers is available to you in Aquitaine, including the Baïse, the Deux Mers canal, the Garonne and the Lot. There are not many locks on the rivers in this region and most of them are automatic - you will also find some wonderful places to stop along the way.

One of the great attractions of the area has to be the delicious wines and produce of the south-west - Buzet, Sauternes, Armagnac, foie gras and also asparagus, strawberries, melons, peaches and plums.
