Parc Floral de la colline aux oiseaux de Caen

All the gardens in this park, a 17 hectares landscaped and floral site reclaimed from a rubbish dump in 1994 to commemorate the Normandy Landings, are devoted to the theme of Peace. The centre of interest is a rose garden containing 15,000 plants - both old and modern varieties.

FREE entry. Open all year round from 10 am, closing time variable according to the season.

Jardin Botanique de Caen

The cradle of botany in Caen, with over three centuries of plant history, this botanical garden is a real living museum, presenting a collection of Normandy flora, medicinal plants, rockeries, exotic greenhouse specimens and a whole range of garden plants.

FREE entry. Open all year round from 8 am, (from 10 am on week-end) closing time variable according to the season (exotic greenhouses from 2 to 5 pm).
