August is a good month for local fêtes, and there is a Wednesday market at Peyrehorade (8k). Chic Biarritz, the green Pyrenees and even over the border into Spain, could all make interesting trips from here.

Le Tastet is a home from home and with the farm next door we felt to be living within the community. M. and Mme Matabos are very thoughtful owners the way they have set out the gîte and we could easily have stayed a month!

This gite is an excellent centre for visits to Dax, Mont de Marsan, Bayonne, Biarritz, the coast resorts of Capbreton and Hossegor.

Enjoyed sitting in our porch at night drinking wine, eating dinner, chatting. We've had a brilliant, busy but relaxing holiday in Le Tastet. We hope you do too!!
