Bath/shower room. Wc. 1st floor has 2 small bedrms - dble & twin. C/heating. Enclosed grounds & terrace with garden furniture & bbq.

Pontrieux is a delightful little town with a lovely square, cobbled streets and ancient houses. Previous visitors recommend visiting the port at Le Guilvinec when the boats come in at 5pm, and the beach at Pointe de la Torche.

May 2007 Sightseeing

In the morning the sun was shining & it felt like another planet. We cannot believe there are so many lovely places in one small area: Pontrieux, Treguier with its cathedral (we were very impressed). Our favourite seaside place was Ploumanac'h. We also very much enjoyed our visit to the château at La Roche Jagu which is only 10 minutes drive away

Gite fine + Mme Le Nabour very friendly + helpful. Walked to the boulangeire in Pontrieux every morning - baguettes were often still warm from the oven

August 2007 Attractions

The gite is lovely and traditional and the surrounding area is picturesque. We have enjoyed exploring the coastline, which is only a 30 minutes drive away. Some of the bays are stunning and make for a perfect shot, especially when the tide is out. In the village of St Samson there is a hotel that offers tennis and golf to all non-residents and there is even an excellent riding centre just 300 yards away which offers galloping on the beach for experienced riders and Shetland pony rides for children aged 4-10. La Sterne is an excellent place to eat (the salmon is top draw). All in all, Pontrieux is an excellent location for a fun filled family holiday
