Close to the Spanish border and with mountains, sea and acres of forest to enjoy, the Hotel Bonnet is just off the road (busy in summer) 2k from the charming village of St Pée and provides a great base for exploration. Its own attractions include traditional Basque cuisine, a swimming pool, tennis court, and the thrill of a trip by kayak or raft can be arranged, if you dare. Comfortable bedrooms are in either the main building or the two annexes next door, one of which also houses the fitness room.
