This charming hotel is in a quiet area on the outskirts of Caleruega, a small Castilian village in the Rivera del Duero wine producing region, making it a perfect place for visiting the nearby bodegas (cellars). In previous times the grounds were used as grazing pasture for the local Merinas breed of sheep but they are now lovely gardens with a fish pond and an interesting collection of old bee hives! The guest rooms are attractively furnished and the conservatory style restaurant, overlooking the gardens, is run by a French chef (who also happens to be the owner) with a tempting combination of Castilian/French cuisine.
