September 2007 Wildlife

On four or five successive evenings there has been the extraordinary thrilling sight of swallows and martins flying west towards the Col de Port on their autumnal migration south. On several occasions the air was filled with them, one wave after another making nearly 1000 birds moving along the valley. Something one could never see in GB.
