The plan d'eau at Brionne (4k) has a man made beach (with lifeguard), pedaloes, canoeing & mini golf. Brionne also holds a market (Thurs & Sat).

Our third visit to this lovely gite. Still haven't visited all the places named on previous pages. Loved Deauville & Trouville. Prefered Trouville for eating. Loads of restaurants along the port at reasonable prices

April 2007 Sightseeing

This has been a very relaxing week - sunny, comfortable gite, perfectly positioned. We made good use of the local map (outour de la Risle - à pied, à cheval) and did the tour around le Bec Hellouin and Château Harcourt. Our best meal was le Bec Hellouin - crêperie

July 2007 Sightseeing

Wonderful days out included Giverny (of course), but go when it's sunny, and Rouen - fantastic architecture and a real treat to follow one of the tourist walk routes. Enjoyable train ride from Bernay too, which itself has a lovely old centre. Over-sixties (us!) get 25% reduction! Loved the gite and Le Bec and the crêperie

We've had a lovely fortnight in Authou with our 5 month old baby. Mme Delaporte made us feel very welcome. The gite proved very comfortable and had everything we needed - the area is beautiful - and not even a week of rain could spoil things. Le Bec Hellouin - everyone else is right about la Crêperie opposite the abbey. It's excellent. The village itself is lovely and we went back 3 times
