Who can measure time in such a wonderful, relaxing gite? We woke to our natural alarm clock, ate when hungry and slept when needed

If we could have got the little black goat to sit on the back seat we would have taken her home!

A truly delightful gite, everything we dreamed of and more. Our only regret is that the weather has been so great we have not been able to make use of the superb open fireplace.

Our 3 year old daughter really thought that we were in Goldilocks' cottage and that we were the three bears, so everytime we went out she would 'Rarrrrr' at everyone!

Wonderful gite in a spectacular location. Cosy and warm and magical with a log fire. Bernay is definitely worth a visit, lots af little shops and cheap parking - even 15 minutes free if you want to run in and get a baguette or cake!! Wildlife wise - loads of birds and red squirrels - but also 3 or 4 pheasants scooting past the fence at the bottom of the garden out of the kitchen window

We've had a fabulous honeymoon in this wonderful gite. We couldn't have asked for a more peaceful & romantic setting! The village, La Ferrière sur Risle, has everything you could need, boulangerie (the bread is to die for!) supermarket that sells just about everything and the bar/restaurant/tabac/bookies! Seeing the deers and the goats was superb but the week was made when we saw the red squirrel, something neither of us thought we'd see again!

This week's exceptional weather has brought on the spring. We have watched leaves appear on the trees and seen or heard all kinds of birds, including cuckoos and the first swallows. We can add our recommendation to all the others for the bar/tabac/restaurant in La Ferriere sur Risle. This is an excellent and well maintained gite in an incomparable setting. On arrival we found the gite and its setting delightful. Catherine gave us a very warm welcome. Staying here is very soothing and relaxing also very peaceful. We found the gite comfortable, warm and well equipped. For light exercise, walking the pathway in the wood is very pleasant

Another super stay! Thank you so much for yet again being so welcoming and hospitable; This year we made a point of visiting châteaux in the region and can thoroughly recommend Vendeuvre with its garden of surprises! Highly amusing on a hot summer's day. We had a couple of fantastic thunderstorms overnight which cleared the air well and the lightening was a sight to see. It's a shame that the 3 goats were not around this year - maybe they'll be back again next

This was our first visit to Normandy and we were delighted to find the gite was even prettier in real life and in a beautiful spot. Our hosts were very welcoming and let us in a bit early which after our long journey was most kind
