We only had a week, but what a week! We spotted a red squirrel, had dinner with a donkey, a 'hands' on owl experience and sat under stars with a glass of cider enjoying complete silence - don't get much of that in Stockport after 9 o'clock! Many thanks to our wonderful hosts for providing such a lovely setting and children whose energy matches ours!

We only stayed for a week, but what a week it's been. We had the pleasure of meeting the donkey, a cat and two dogs. It's a beautiful location with lovely views. The family is very nice and the children are very well behaved. During our week we have been to Disneyland which was worth every minute, but don't forget to book your tickets in advance. The parade was well worth watching. We went to Versailles take my advice and wear sensible shoes! It is very beautiful you should definitely take a walk around the gardens

We have has a wonderful week, glorious weather, delicious food, beautiful countryside. Sitting at the outside table or in a deckchair in the afternoon sun has been a pleasure every day - listening to the birds. In April the woodland drive to the gite is covered with wood anemones and celandines with bluebells just coming out

Very friendly owners - especially the children and their animals. Plenty of fish (+ frogs) in the pond behind the gite. Our kids caught over 100 small carp over the 2 weeks. Aux delices restaurant in La Neuve Lyre is very good and cheap - we went 6 times! Beaumesnil château and château du Champ de Bataille are the best local chateaux to visit. In the evening we have seen deer in the field opposite the main entrance to owners' property
