Blainville is a sleepy, old fashioned seaside resort, well placed for visiting the many attractions Manche has to offer. Coutances holds a weekly market on Thursday selling many regional delights.

October 2006 Welcome

A superb gite with very friendly owners who supplied maps and were very kind when I stupidly put too many logs on the fire and nearly sent the village up in flames!

June 2007 Sightseeing

We have been staying here a week and the gite is roomy and very pleasant. We have done coastal cape route to top peninsular through Barneville- Carteret, Nez de Jobourg and onto Cap de la Hague. Spectacular cliff top views to channel islands. This is a very picturesque area of Normandy and we have enjoyed our visits. Avranches and Coutances were our favourite towns. Coutances has a market on Thursdays and a visit to the cathedral is a must

July 2007 Attractions

We have had a great stay in Normandy. As usual, there are always lots of things to do (in sunshine and in rain!). We really liked Zoo de Champrepus, which is much improved since our last visit 8 years ago; Alligator bay and High ropes at Forest Adventures at St Sauveur le Vicomte (not for the faint hearted)
