Previous visitors recommend the Eden Park Zoo at St Symphorien, and also Domfront, Mortain and the floral village of St Fraimbault. St Hilaire de Harcouët holds a Wednesday & Friday market selling regional produce.

Loved the Pizzeria in Le Teilleul - excellent food and the chef speaks a little English.

The gite was well equipped and comfortable. The log fire very welcome. The 'Pizzeria Grill traiteur' in the village is excellent. Not only pizza but entrée salads to die for and steaks etc and lovely ice cream desert (not to be missed). Very handy having Mr Gaumerais next door to help with any problems, very friendly. Little well equipped supermarket in village also open till 12 on Sundays

July 2007 Attractions

A lovely gite in such peaceful countryside. Fernand was a good and helpful host! Places of interest are already mentioned, but don't miss Bagnoles de l'Orne, it's a jewel nestling in the forest. Evenings were made all the more enjoyable at the local pizza 'Via Santa Sofia' by Bruno and Nathalie. If you like pizza, don't miss out.
