June 2006 Welcome

Delightful reception including wonderful rice pudding. Certainly one of the nicest gites we have visited.

2006 Welcome

We have had a wonderful, relaxing holiday and like all your previous guests we would thank you for your welcoming gifts and the use of your charming gite.

June 2007 Food

Great place, great beach and loads to see and do. The best place to eat is La Reper'e just over the bridge out of Portbail. The food and service is excellent and cheap. We came here on motorcycles and the roads are great for touring round with hardly any traffic. Thanks for the rice pudding and calvados.

We wanted peace and quiet, beach and sunshine and we got it. These beaches along the Côte des Iles are wonderful. The serving staff in all the restaurants were helpful and friendly. We loved Cap de Carteret - great shops! We loved the house. Mme Legrand's rice pudding was delicious and we enjoyed the wee nip of calvados!! We'd love to come back.

We've had a lovely holiday. The gite is a home from home, everything that you could possibly want, especially the rice pudding! Thank you. The space in the house and the huge garden with tractor has kept the kids amused. The area offers great landscapes, peace and tranquillity. We loved the dunes, the walk across the dunes to Portbail (the kids enjoyed surfing down the dunes) is nature at his best. On a final note, tonight we ended our holiday sitting on the sand dunes on the beach watching the sunset - spectacular!!

August 2007 Beaches

What a lovely place! The gite is so well equipped and tastefully decorated and our hosts so kind and thoughtful - we arrived an hour later than promised and they still showed us round with a smile and gave us rice pudding, rather than throwing it at us! Lovely weather, such clean beaches, clear sea, sandy beaches, sea creatures. In fact we didn't visit many places because the children just wanted to play here at the seaside. Carteret beach is more sheltered, finer sand, rock pools and a crêpes stand, as well as the pretty town. But 'our' beach is less busy and the waves are wilder.

September 2007 Leisure

The house is very well situated for exploring this lovely part of France. We enjoyed the markets in the bourgs & all the beautiful fresh fruits and vegetables - much nicer than Tescos! The Cap de la Hague is well worth a tour via the Route du Cap - well signposted. Thank you very much for the warm welcome & the rice pudding - exquisite, but not very good for the 'tour des hanches'. We enjoyed relaxing in the house & gardens and just strolling on the beach, coffees in Portbail & taking in the whole relaxing atmosphere

A wonderful family holiday was had by all three generations of the family. We particularly enjoyed the gorgeous deserted sandy beaches, the local walks along the sand dunes and of course the food! Many thanks for the delicious rice pudding. We're leaving feeling happy, full and relaxed and can't believe how lucky we were to have this fantastic sunshine in mid- October!
