Open the door of the church in St Martin du Vieux Belleme if you want a lovely surprise.

You only need to drive for 10 miles in any direction and there is loads to see!

There is an abundance of unusual wildlife in the area (bugs, bunnies, birds, butterflies).

It is very private sitting outside on lovely hot day and in the evening when it goes cool there is a cosy log fire.

We have spent a very enjoyable fortnight here despite the ever changing weather. The gite itself is very comfortable with everything you need and the garden is very pretty, quiet and private. The children have really enjoyed playing with Nicki (the dog) and on the swing. Although our French is quite minimal, we got along just fine and everyone has been very friendly & helpful. Our French has also improved whilst we have been here! It has been great to get away from it all and spend some quality time together as a family and for the children to remember how to play together without fighting and endless computer games!

Excellent gite, well equipped, very welcoming owners. Mme Bamas a lovely lady, the dog (Nicki) loves lots of attention. An ideal base to visit the surrounding Perche area, especially the local villages, lots of local markets. Should you arrive late Saturday, the small Cocinelle market is open on Sunday morning
