Gannat hosts a large folk festival in the second half of July. Vichy, 20k, is both a health spa and a centre of gastronomy with great restaurants and lovely cake shops!

June 2007 Attractions

A very peaceful spot, with tranquil walks by the river. So many little châteaux to discover and interesting trips to the Gorges de la Sioule

What a delight the gardens are - a place to suit every mood, in the sun or in the shade. Lots of lovely lizards, and have seen a red squirrel on 3 occasions - probably the same one, favouring the blue spruce down towards the river. The sound of the river is wonderful, you can breathe it in. There's an easy walk downstream from here for a couple of miles before the tracks moves away from the river
