We have had a very pleasant week in this excellent gite. The weather has been a little disappointing by local standards, but we have found it quite warm by British criteria, and we have certainly enjoyed relaxing in the garden. Charroux is indeed a beautiful village with an informative museum in which we spent an unexpectedly long time studying local history. We had a memorable meal at La Ferme St Sebastien, which is hoping for its first Michelin star. A delightful décor, excellent service, all at a reasonable price. Of the local attractions, we particularly enjoyed the Gorges de la Sioule, and the cats in the village! Thank you, Gaelle, for your excellent gite and your warm welcome

We have stayed in many gites across France and this is the best. We did not have the best of weather but when the sun shone the garden is a wonderful place to relax. Take time to explore Charroux - it's beautiful. The whole area must be the best kept secret in France. Visit the muse and stroll trough the lanes, and have dinner at La ferme St Sebastien. We pushed the boat out. A little expensive compared to French prices but below very very good UK restaurants. The food was the best and the service second to none
