Wc. 1st floor has dble bedrm & 1 sgle bed on landing. Travel cot & high chair (on request). Heating. Shared w/machine & courtyard. Private lawn & small terrace (furniture, bbq). Cleaning charge is per hour.

Royan has five lovely beaches, locally called 'conches'. Although the town's architecture is modern, there still remains the Phare de Cordouan, a 17thC Renaissance lighthouse that you can visit by boat.

August 2006 Attractions

Royan was the favourite for things to do. The most interesting day out was zoo at La Palmyre - there is an excellent sea-lion display.

I guess we were lucky because this is the exact thing we were hoping for; rural, close to beaches (two young boys to entertain) and very French.
