The younger ones loved the swimming/kayaking at Lougratte and we all enjoyed trips to Cahors and St Emilion, but above all we enjoyed life at the gite, especially sitting out in the evenings.

One of the highlights of our stay has been stumbling across very pretty villages and hamlets quite unexpectedly. The view of Beynac from the road/river was stunning.

We have had a really enjoyable week and the gite has been first class. It has been a pleasure to spend a week in a house which has been 'rescued' and restored to such a high standard.

The weather for the week has been glorious. Temperatures have risen to 26° and we have not had any rain. On the last 3 evenings we have sat out to watch the sun set, with a glass of wine of course!
