Open mid June to 1st September for exclusive use of clients.

Previous guests have spotted a small boar, a deer & some large birds of prey. There is a freshwater leisure area at Argentat (21k) with water chutes.

Particularly enjoyed canoeing down the Dordogne from Argentat. It's really worth a try even for beginners

The view from the gite is wonderful with the sloping fields, wooded hills and the little stream we can hear chanting & frolicking along and the cream coloured cattle grazing. What bliss. It is good to be able to walk up the road to St Cirgues la Loutre where bread & milk can be brought early & other useful things and there is also a post office

The ponds, babbling brooks and setting (especially the views from the balcony) are a dream. Market day at Bretenoux - a young wine merchant (speaking excellent English) sold us two cases of his Château Moulin de Serré.

We took a picnic & walked to Tours de Merle past Le Vieux Bourg, which made a fantastically satisfying day out when finished with a swim in the pool. We canoed & kayaked from Argentat to Brivezac which was exciting.
