Ondres is one of many small holiday resorts along this part of the Atlantic coast, popular for its long sandy beaches and excellent surfing. The chic resort of Biarritz is only around 20 minutes drive away or if you fancy a day trip to Spain, the border is just 35k from here.

In the heart of a pine forest, this new complex has 100 apartments and 50 detached maisonettes built in an attractive style typical of the Landes area. Facilities on site include a large outdoor pool (late May - end Sept), paddling pool and free use of 2 tennis courts. The beach is only 1k away and this is a lovely area for walks or cycling with woods and 2 lakes nearby. Horse riding and mini golf 100m. Tv hire 40 euros for 1 week, 70 euros for 2 weeks.
