One of the biggest attractions of St Malo is its citadel 'intra muros' (3k) where you can take a walk along the ramparts and enjoy views out to sea and over the old town houses and cobbled streets. Inside the walls are excellent shops, cafés and restaurants where the tempting menus are often displayed outside. St Malo also boasts a huge aquarium housing sea life from all over the world in 8 different aquariums including a circular fish tank. Follow the coastal road to the east which leads to the Pointe du Grouin (13k) for amazing views of the Mont St Michel (60k) and then go on to the pretty port of Cancale (16k) which is renowned for its oyster beds and excellent seafood restaurants.

This superb residence housing 67 modern and well equipped apartments has direct access to the nearby beach (via 30 steps) and overlooks the magnificent bay of St Malo. Ideal for couples (and those with babies), on site facilities include a lovely heated indoor pool with a steam room and a sun terrace with sea views. There is also a bicycle store room - so do take your own bikes as there is an excellent cycle path leaving from here.
