Between our port of Caen and fashionable Deauville, Houlgate is a small unspoilt resort on Normandy's stunning Côte Fleurie. It has a long, beautiful beach with sailing and windsurfing. The local golf course, laid out in château grounds, has a length of 6,225m, par 73, with practice grounds for driving, putting and pitching. Excursions can be made to the astonishing Bayeux Tapestry, historic Caen and pretty Honfleur.

There are 49 apartments in 3 low rise buildings (no lift), in a residential area 1.5k from the beach and 1k from the golf course (residents receive a discount on green fees and are offered 3 hours of free coaching every Sunday at 3pm). Outdoor heated pool (10m x 6m, open early June-mid Sept) & 2 tennis courts (approximately 5 euros per hour).

Max: 4 - Living room + double sofa bed. Double bedroom. Kitchenette (2 ring hob + mini oven). Shower or bathroom/wc. South-facing balcony or small garden with furniture.

Max: 4/6 - As above, plus small room or cabin with twin or bunk beds.

Bed linen hire - 6 euros per bed.

Towel hire - 6 euros per person.

End of stay cleaning - from 50 euros.

Baby facilities - Cot hire 25 euros per stay.

Heating charges - Electricity/heating not included except July/August.
