YP0010 Les Sables Vignier, Ile d'Oléron

St Georges d'Oléron has the longest stretch of beaches on the whole of the island including the fine sands of Sables Vignier which has a children's club. For nature lovers there are lots of marked cycling or footpaths to follow through beautiful countryside & along inland waterways. Right in the centre of the island is Le Marais aux Oiseaux, a huge bird sanctuary housing many rare and endangered species.

This attractive residence has 70 apartments & maisonettes in a lovely setting amongst pine trees, with direct access via a pathway across the dunes to the beach. There is an indoor pool (open all year), heated outdoor pool (May to Sept) and a children's play area. Use of some facilities including mini-golf (1 euro) at nearby campsite (busy in summer). Tv hire 40 euros per stay. Breakfast available for 10 euros per person. Bbqs are not permitted. NB Both indoor and outdoor pools are closed on Tuesday afternoons and all day Wednesday (except in Jul/Aug).

Bed linen & towel hire - 14 euros per person.

End of stay cleaning - 56 euros.

Baby facilities - Cot hire 27 euros per week. Free hire of high chair & baby bath.
