Azay le Rideau is a small town with a beautiful château known as one of the gems of the French Renaissance. Built in a stunning setting on an island on the banks of the Indre river it has a magnificent garden full of exotic trees from all over the world. The interior has a museum displaying beautiful paintings and furniture mostly from the 18thC but the main feature is the grand, ceremonial staircase. Azay le Rideau is a great base for discovering the glorious countryside of the Loire & many other châteaux including Chinon & Chenonceau which are an easy drive from here.

Les Jardins de la Renaissance is a newly-built residence of 100 maisonettes set in magnificent tree-lined grounds on the outskirts of Azay le Rideau. Each maisonette has its own small terrace with garden furniture. Free tennis court and indoor pool (open all year). Steam room, fitness room & sauna (8 euros per session).

Max: 4 - Single storey maisonette has living area with single sofa bed, single pull-out bed + flat-screen tv. Kitchenette (2 ring hob, microwave/grill + dishwasher). Bathroom/wc or shower/wc. Small double bedroom.

Max: 4/6 - As above + 4-ring hob (instead of 2-ring hob) + 2nd small bedroom with 2 single beds.

Max: 8 - Duplex maisonette has living area with single sofa bed, single pull-out bed + flat screen tv. Kitchenette (4-ring hob, microwave/grill + dishwasher). Bathroom/wc or shower/wc. Shower room. 3 small bedrooms (a double and 2 twins) on 1st floor.

Bed linen & towels provided

End of stay cleaning - 45 to 105 euros.
