La Tranche sur Mer is one of the Vendée's typical resorts with a fine sandy beach stretching for 13k, backed by pine woods - perfect for walks or cycling (a great opportunity to keep fit, or get fit)! There are also watersports (sailing, surfing, windsurfing) and boat trips - the town itself has a Mediterranean feel with narrow streets and whitewashed houses. For an interesting day trip the lovely port of La Rochelle is only an hour away.

Originally built in 1880 with a domed tower, this colonial style residence is now converted into 45 attractive apartments, right on the beach (each has sea view) and close to the town centre. Facilities include heated outdoor pool (11m x 6m, mid June - mid Sept), sun terrace, lounge/bar, breakfast room and lift.

Max: 4 - Living room with double sofa bed or 2 single pull-out beds. Kitchenette (combination microwave/grill, hob + dishwasher). Cabin room with bunk beds or bedroom sleeping 2. Bath or shower/wc.
