YX0001 Port du Crouesty - Village Pierre et Vacances

Port du Crouesty in south Brittany is set on a finger of land between a sheltered yacht harbour and a south facing beach. The Gulf of Morbihan is close by, where you can island hop on little ferries. Vannes, on the Gulf, is a lovely old city with an excellent weekly market, and its huge aquarium where sea creatures from all over the world can be inspected is fascinating. In summer, there is much to enjoy inland, too - watch out for notices advertising festivals, art exhibitions, sporting events and village fairs.

This complex of 373 apartments (with lift) and 12 houses is designed in the style of a traditional Breton village, with small streets and tiny squares. Most on-site activities here are only available in July and August. SPORTS - Watersports (windsurfing, sailing, canoeing, fishing trips). Volleyball, archery, table tennis. 9 tennis courts 400m, 12 euros per hour. Golf 3k (10% discount).

FOR CHILDREN - Small playground. FREE children's activities; 3 to 5yrs (all year), 6 to 9yrs and 13 to 18yrs (high season). There is also an infants' club 3 to 35mths (all year), which is not free of charge. All clubs are closed on Saturday, are subject to availability and must be requested at time of booking.

OTHER ACTIVITIES - Pool exercise classes. Riding 2k and pony rides 700m (Jul/Aug). Cycling (mountain bike hire 10 minute walk away).

FACILITIES - Fitness centre with thalassotherapy.

SWIMMING - 2 large heated pools (open April-Sept) with loungers, parasols and children's paddling pool.
