The Ile de Ré is a wonderful holiday island renowned for its warm climate and beautiful, sandy beaches and is best explored by bicycle following some of the 100k of marked pathways. The charming harbour of St Martin de Ré is the island's capital and here you will find leisure activities for all the family including boat trips to the mainland and the lovely town of La Rochelle or further out to sea to visit the islands of Aix and Fort Boyard. St Martin is also steeped in history and the town centre has many historic monuments and lovely old houses. For the energetic watersports abound including water skiing, sailing & surfing and those who prefer to relax sunbathing & swimming should head to the south of the islands for the best beaches. The Ile de Ré is reached via an amazing toll bridge (approximately17 euros return for a car and passengers).

Les Peupliers is a pleasant, well maintained & friendly site with 200 pitches and facilities including an outdoor pool, a free children's club (Jul/Aug), games room and play area. Just 1k from the lovely old town of La Flotte en Ré which has shops & restaurants, a daily market and the Maison du Platin, a useful tourist office holding information regarding the various activities on the island.

Max: 4/5 - Chalet style mobile homes have living room with table/chairs, padded seating (converts to dble bed), kitchen corner (4-ring hob, fridge/freezer + microwave), dble bedrm and 2nd bedrm with 2 sgle beds and a pull-down sgle bed (for a child), shower, wc. Covered wooden terrace with garden furniture. Bbq hire 25 euros per week.

Bed linen hire - 10 euros per bed (disposable type).

End of stay cleaning - 70 euros.

Baby facilities - Cot & high chair hire 15 euros each per week.
