Ideal for young families, Isla Playa is a small Blue Flag beach resort with sheltered coves, near the country village of Isla. Just 45 minutes from Santander it is pretty quiet in the shoulder months but in summer, it becomes lively and teems with holidaymakers and young people. A short walk from the apartments - at low tide you can walk around the bay - is a lovely little square with a few restaurants and bars where animated Spanish families meet until late at night. And for a change why not drive up the winding roads through the clouds into the nearby Picos mountains, where you will find some quaint old villages and lovely countryside.

The De la Hoz is a 4-storey residence beside the sea housing 22 apartments, and has its own cafeteria, bar & supermarket below. Apartments have a kitchen with 2-ring hob & m/wave - no oven, and a living room with tv and single sofa bed with single pull-out bed beneath. Bathroom/wc. Electric heaters.
