ZC0013 Apartamentos El Covaju, Potes-Aceñaba

Aceñaba is one of several small hamlets that make up an area known as Cabezón de Liébana and is 8k from Potes, a small but lively market town where local hand-made crafts and regional specialities can be purchased. The El Covaju apartments are surrounded by woodland 2k from the main road and are in an attractive setting up amongst the hills. Not far away is Fuente Dé, where the cable car can take you to the Picos de Europa peaks for superb nature walks and views.

The 12 apartments are in 3 small buildings, one of which is slightly away from the others, and there is also a casa here which we feature (see ZS0103). The owners live on site too. There is an outdoor pool - 10m x 4m and 1.35m to 1.8m deep, open May-Oct subject to weather - & jacuzzi, sauna, picnic area, bbqs, swing and small dining area which has a limited menu. Various leisure pursuits can be arranged by reception (extra cost) including horse riding, mountain bikes and 4x4 hire, canoeing, trekking and paragliding.

Max: 4 - Ground floor apartment or maisonette - most with open tread, spiral stairs - features living room with compact kitchenette (one with m/wave + grill instead of an oven), woodburner & tv/dvd. Bathroom/wc. Double & twin bedrooms on either ground or first floor. Phone & hairdryer. Central heating.
