The attractive town of Comillas is a popular seaside resort with a small fishing harbour, cobbled streets, pretty squares and one of the best beaches found along the Cantabrian coastline. A favourite with the Spanish, it also has some of the region's architectural jewels including the Pontifical University and El Capricho, a highly decorated mansion house designed by Gaudi which is now a popular, and expensive, restaurant. Over recent years the town has expanded to cope with the visitors it attracts in the summer months and has resulted in a good choice of places to eat, many of which serve only the best of locally caught seafood.

Popular with the Madrileños and many other Spanish people who spend weekends and summer holidays here, these recently built apartments - 13 in total - are alongside a quiet road in a residential area opposite a hotel and exclusive 9-hole golf course. It is a pleasant walk down the hill to the town and beach below and guests can also use the facilities of the nearby Rovacias apartment complex (800m) - see ZC0011 - which include an outdoor pool (24m x 12m and 1.10m-1.80m deep, open mid June-mid Sept, subject to weather), children's pool (3m x 5m and 60cm deep) and a tennis court.
