In the heart of the Picos de Europa, Cosgaya is in a beautiful area amongst some fantastic scenery - ideal for walking and enjoying the outdoors. The charming town of Potes, a short drive away, is the local capital and is where you'll find a choice of shops and restaurants as well as being the departure point for various organised walking or 4x4 trips into the mountains. Nearby Fuente Dé is another place worth a visit - here you can take a cable car high into the Picos for some spectacular views.

The small, recently built Apartamentos La Barcena residence has 17 apartments in a lovely green setting near a small river and 100m off the road from Potes to Fuente Dé. They are in two buildings, 30m apart, and share a heated enclosed pool (11m x 5m, 1.4m deep, fenced & open from mid June-mid Sept, subject to weather) with sliding doors that can be opened in warmer weather, and parking area. Some apartments have a fireplace or woodburner, all have central heating, plus there is a shared laundry room (washing machine & tumble dryer) although a few apartments do have their own washing machine.

Max: 2/4 - Ground floor apartments have living room with tv & double sofa bed. Kitchen area with f/freezer, 2-ring hob & mini oven/microwave. Double bedroom (2 linked single beds). Shower room/wc. Terrace with garden furniture.

Kitchen area with f/freezer, 2-ring hob & mini oven/microwave. 1 double bedroom (2 linked single beds) and 1 twin - one or the other is on upper level via open tread stairs. Shower room/wc. Most have balcony or small garden/terrace with furniture.
